Bring your old boats, paddles, life vests, air bags, spash jackets, helmets, booties, fleece, water bottles, rope, saddles, foot braces, canoe seats, spray skirts, dry bags, throw bags, roof rack, tie-downs, etc. (just leave that old '72 Buick on the cinder blocks in your front lawn where it belongs).

The Nelson Downriver Race is intended for anyone interested in canoe or kayak racing - from novices to national champions. Our goal is to promote recreation, conservation and sportsmanship through paddling rivers and lakes in and around Nelson County, Virginia.
